Barrister Anushay Tauqeer Nasir is a Senior Associate at AUC | Law with a cross-border practice in Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions, Technology, Media and Telecommunications. She advises founders, venture-backed startups, funds, and growth-stage technology companies on corporate structuring, investment documentation, regulatory strategy, and international expansion. Her experience includes domestic and cross-border transactions, shareholder arrangements, LLP formations, and investor exits, including leading due diligence, risk assessments, and pre-merger notifications before the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP). Building on this transactional foundation, Anushay advises fintech and digital asset ventures on regulatory strategy, market entry, and operational compliance. She guides clients seeking to launch a digital asset model in Pakistan, providing detailed advice on how the platform could operate in compliance with the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (PVARA) framework, while aligning with cross-border licensing and governance requirements. More broadly, she helps clients navigate licensing, fund structuring, crypto-asset and token compliance, Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) applications, and governance in Pakistan, as well as operational frameworks in UAE jurisdictions, including DIFC and ADGM, and in Singapore. Her advisory balances regulatory rigor with practical guidance on scaling responsibly within tightly governed financial ecosystems. She has also supported youth-focused digital wallets and investment platforms on wallet and stored value modeling, KYC and onboarding architecture, and drafting of user-facing and compliance documentation. For game development clients, her work includes intellectual property strategy, licensing, software commercialization, international distribution, contractor frameworks, and cross-border compliance. Beyond corporate and regulatory mandates, Anushay plays a central role in structuring and implementing large-scale public-private initiatives. She has co-led the legal and institutional design of public-private partnership-based Startup Funds and Smart City projects, as well as other digital infrastructure frameworks, requiring coordination between government stakeholders, private investors, and regulatory bodies. She also supports technology-enabled businesses with workforce structuring, employees, ESOPs, intellectual property assignment frameworks, confidentiality protections, and governance policies for rapid growth and international expansion. Academically, Anushay completed her LLB in 2021 and is a graduate of the University of London.
